Any creative activity stimulate human mind and helps to develop in every positive way . We have approached martenscraft hulme asking for help to share their expertise and experiences with us . So We can work from home and stay physically and mentally healthy . They have very kindly replied this morning with the following answer .
"We at Martenscroft have put some activities onto the school website along with a story session. For home activities please see below a few ideas:
Song Box - Find a box at home to store your song props and decorate. Once you have decided on which songs are your favourite you can start to make the props, bringing the song to life (This is also great for favourite stories). You can also use the inside of cardboard boxes for the card you will need for your props. (This is great for recycling as well as play on a budget). Resources needed would include crayons, washable felt tip markers, lollipop sticks (these are for sticking on the back of the prop),cellotape, glue, collection of collage materials.
Musical Instruments- Guitars and shakers - Can use a variety of boxes or containers, again this is great for recycling. Resources needed would include crayons, washable felt tip markers ,cellotape, glue, collection of collage materials to decorate instruments. Ideas to give parents to fill containers would include pebbles, twigs, gravel etc.
Mark Making Party - Collection of mark making resources, felt tip markers, crayons, chalk, paint, variety of different size brushes, rollers, sponges, paper, (the back of wallpaper is great for this or lining paper, cheap and again great for recycling). This activity is great both indoors and outdoors."
There are few other activities you can find on Z-art .There are many audio book on Manchester library Children's Book resources .
